Prio (the “Service”), provided by Akira Kawata (trade name: FREEWEB), respects user privacy and handles information obtained or processed through the Service and the Prio mobile application in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect and Process
1-1. Forecast and Voting Information
The Service uses a randomly generated identifier created within the application or browser for purposes such as saving forecasts, preventing duplicate votes by the same user, and displaying forecast history. In the mobile application, a random UUID is stored on the device. The server does not store that identifier itself; instead, it stores a hash generated by combining the identifier with a server-side salt.
The Service also stores forecast and voting data such as the target market, forecast direction, forecast price, and date and time of the vote.
1-2. Account Registration and Authentication Information
If you optionally create or use an account, the Service obtains or processes your email address, profile information such as your display name, password and other information required for authentication, session information, IP address, User-Agent, and related information.
This information is used for identity verification, maintaining sign-in status, preventing unauthorized access, password resets, and other account-management purposes.
1-3. Usage and Device Information for the Web Version
The web version uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to improve the Service and analyze usage. GA4 may collect or process information such as web page views and interaction events, browser and device information, cookies or similar identifiers, and approximate location information.
The Service itself does not collect precise location information using GPS or similar technologies. However, GA4 may process IP addresses or similar information to determine approximate location information.
2. Purposes of Use
- Receiving, storing, aggregating, and displaying forecasts and votes
- Preventing duplicate votes and other improper use
- Account authentication and maintaining sign-in status
- Providing forecast history, performance information, rankings, and related features
- Password resets and other account-management functions
- Maintaining the safety and security of the Service
- Analyzing usage of the web version, identifying problems, and improving the Service
- Complying with laws, regulations, these Terms, and other applicable rules
The Service does not use Google AdMob or other Google advertising-delivery services. The Service also does not send forecasts or votes entered into the Service, email addresses, passwords, or other account information to OpenAI for processing by generative AI.
3. External Services and Data Transmission
The Service uses the following external services for functionality, security, and analysis of web-version usage. Information sent to those services is handled in accordance with each provider’s privacy policy and related terms.
3-1. Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC)
GA4 is used to analyze usage of the web version and improve the Service. Information such as web page views and interaction events, browser and device information, approximate location inferred from an IP address, and cookies or similar identifiers may be transmitted to or processed by Google.
3-2. Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.)
The Service uses Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1, Cloudflare Turnstile, and Cloudflare email-sending functionality for web delivery, API processing, database operations, security, prevention of improper use, password-reset emails, and related purposes.
To the extent necessary to provide these functions, information such as IP addresses, User-Agent data, authentication and session information, email addresses, vote hashes, forecast data, and other information associated with use of the Service may be processed within Cloudflare systems.
3-3. TradingView (TradingView, Inc.)
The Service uses a TradingView widget to display market charts. When a chart is loaded, connection-related information such as an IP address and browser or device information may be processed by TradingView.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
The Service does not provide users’ personal information to third parties except where necessary to use the external services described above or where one of the following applies:
- The user has given consent
- Disclosure is required by law
- Disclosure is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult
- Disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service
5. Data Retention
Account information, authentication information, and session information are retained for the period necessary to provide the Service and achieve the purposes described in this Policy. When a user deletes an account, user information, sessions, and account information associated with that account are deleted.
Associations between the account and a vote hash or public profile are also deleted when the account is deleted.
Forecast and voting data may continue to be retained without association with the account in order to preserve historical aggregates, rankings, and operational consistency. Such records may contain a server-side hashed identifier rather than the identifier generated on the device itself.
The retention period for information sent to GA4 is governed by the Google Analytics data-retention settings configured for the Service and by Google’s applicable data-retention policies.
6. Security Measures
The Service implements reasonable security measures, including access controls, authentication, and hashing of identifiers, to help prevent unauthorized access, leakage, alteration, or loss of collected information. However, no method of communication over the Internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.
7. User Rights
To the extent provided by applicable law, users may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, or other handling of personal information held by the Service concerning them.
If you use an account, you may use the account deletion feature provided within the Service. For other requests relating to disclosure, correction, deletion, or similar matters, please contact the address listed below. Where necessary, the Service may ask for reasonable verification of identity.
Uninstalling the application stops new collection of information by that application on the relevant device. However, account information or voting records already stored on the server before uninstalling are not automatically deleted.
For the web version, browser settings may allow you to restrict the use of cookies in some circumstances.
8. Users Under 13
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not intentionally seek to collect personal information from children under 13.
If the Service learns that it has obtained personal information from a child under 13, it will take appropriate action, including deletion of the information where appropriate, to the extent required by law and the operation of the Service. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information to the Service, please contact us using the contact information below.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be amended in response to changes in the Service, external services used by the Service, or applicable laws and regulations. If an important change is made, notice will be provided through the Service or by another appropriate method. The amended Privacy Policy applies from the time it is posted on this page.
